GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. GivingTuesday is held annually the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and is widely promoted on social media. For the past several years, including this year ASAP has participated in the campaign on facebook. This year’s goal of $1,500 was met and more than doubled, netting donations of $3,335 from 64 individuals. Funds raised that directly benefit children participating in ASAP programs.
