The Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines has been a pillar upon which organizations have leaned through the COVID-19 crisis. Weekly Community Conversations have been an invaluable source of news and information, networking, and problem solving ideas. Among the many resources the Community Foundation offers, funding is an important one for nonprofits as they thoughtfully plan how to move through and beyond the current challenges. After several months of strategic planning, ASAP is honored to have received a Nonprofit Adaptation Grant to support the shift of ASAP’s service delivery model to include a new digital service line. Among the expenses to be supported are digital video recording equipment and consultant fees to help create a framework for virtual programs and deliver professional development to ASAP’s Teaching Artists who will work in the new online program.
