ASAP’s 10th annual Summer Arts Camp takes place in Evelyn K. Davis Park on Forest Avenue in Des Moines Monday through Friday, June 18–22, 2018.
This year’s theme, Take Flight, allows children of all ages to explore the theme of flight through a variety of hands-on arts studios: painting, drumming/music, dance, creative play, sculpture, and more. Each day, the teaching artists in the studios lead a variety of activities to keep kids’ creative juices flowing. All activities are free, and no advance registration is required. Each day of camp week, walk-up registration (12:30–1:00 p.m.) allows campers to select two studio classes for that day (1:00 and 2:00 start times). All materials are provided.
Dozens of volunteers are needed to make Summer Arts Camp a success. Contact Jacqueline Poole at jacqueline@asap-dsm.org for more information or to sign up!
ASAP Summer Arts Camp is made possible with support from the City of Des Moines Parks and Recreation Department, and from St. John’s Lutheran Church.
